Classroom training was inefficient and costly

Marks & Spencer wanted assurance that contractors going on site understood their policies and procedures for dealing with asbestos.

Their existing classroom training was inconsistent, inefficient and costly; they needed a solution to make managing compliance easier for everyone.

We worked closely with the M&S team to create industry-leading, approved training that covered all of their requirements and was fully integrated into their compliance systems.

The content of the course is actively managed and updated to ensure that contractors have the right information with new technology developed to allow them to refresh quickly and easily.

The results

More than 50,000 contractors took the Asbestos course we created for M&S. The cost of training has fallen by 80%, the time required to train fell by up to 90% while understanding of M&S policies has measurably improved across the board.

“I’d always been sceptical about online learning but what they provide delivers so much more than traditional training; giving me absolute confidence that people have learned what they need to before they go on site. We are committed to quality at M&S and Cloudtrainer are a genuine partner in helping us to deliver safer construction programmes around the world.”

Craig Barker, Asbestos Manager, M&S
